Daniela Poletti has more than 20 years of experience in the legal profession and in 1996 was accredited by the Law Society of NSW as an Accredited Specialist in Family Law.  

Over the years, Daniela has gained considerable expertise in all aspects of Family Law and is an experienced collaborative family law practitioner. The depth and breadth of her experience ensures that she has a sound understanding of legal issues that impact on family law matters, including those involving complex financial and business related issues and taxation issues.

Daniela resolves matters for most of her clients without the necessity of going to Court, either through negotiation or the collaborative law process.  However, when necessary, Daniela is an experienced and determined litigator who can successfully represent clients in the Family Court.

Daniela’s interest lies in helping people, particularly family law clients who are going through what is often a very difficult and emotional time. Whenever possible, she provides comprehensive family law advice and guidance at the earliest opportunity, and usually at the first conference with her clients.

Daniela is also a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, a trained mediator, a trained collaborative lawyer and a member of the Western Sydney Collaborative Family Lawyers network.

Kim Alderton

Kim Alderton has been with Selvaggio Lawyers for more than 10 years, and has worked in legal services for almost 30 years. Over that time she has gained considerable experience in the field of Family Law and enjoys helping and supporting clients through what can be a very difficult time in their lives.

Kim is involved in the preparation of various documents for the Family Courts, liaising with our clients and dealing with other relevant experts, such as accountants, barristers and counsellors, who may be called upon during family law proceedings. Kim maintains discretion and integrity throughout all of her duties, and is a valuable member of the Family Law team.

Karen Hickson

Karen Hickson has been working in legal services for more than 20 years, and she has been with Selvaggio Lawyers for over six of those years. Karen has broad experience in the industry, including the preparation of various Court documents, managing Court appointments and requirements, conveyancing and client liaison.

Karen’s current role involves the provision of support and administration for the Commercial law, employment law and criminal and traffic law matters undertaken by the firm. In this role, clients particularly value Karen’s organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
